So you’ve been proposed to. What’s next? Do you hit the internet to look for your dress, shoes and jewellery? Do you explore your local towns and cities for wedding boutiques? Or do you go further afield and explore more extensive destinations? More and more brides are deciding to do a bit of travelling before their wedding, in order to explore all the wedding traders across the country. It’s the best way of ensuring you have the best possible wedding apparel you can find. Here are a few of our favourite ways to explore wedding traders around the UK:
Visit a Vintage Fair
Vintage fairs are a great way of finding one-off and unique items that you might never have seen anything like before. You can find antique jewellery for your ‘something blue’, you can shop pretty vintage trimmings and buttons for embellishing your gloves, and you can find veils and faux fur shawls too! As far as we’re concerned, Liverpool has one of the best selections of vintage fairs in the UK, with Liverpool’s Big Vintage Fair, Decorative Fairs at St. Georges Hall, Pillbox Vintage fairs and many more, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Why not stay for a weekend and visit them all? Epic Liverpool offer great rates on their Liverpool Apart-Hotel.
Visit Hotel Wedding Fairs
Many hotels across the country offer regular wedding fairs so follow plenty of them on social media to find out when the next event will be held. These fairs often bring together plenty of local exhibitors, so you don’t need to trek around and visit them all individually. Thornton Hall on the Wirral offers some of the best, where you can explore stalls from caterers, florists, dress boutiques, shoe boutiques and more.
Do a Market Town Crawl
It’s a little known fact that some of the most interesting and exciting wedding boutiques are located in small market towns, so why not set up base in a luxury hotel like Inglewood Manor near Chester, and explore all the Cheshire market towns? Frodsham, Tarporley, Knutsford, Alderley Edge and Malpas are just a few of the historic towns you could visit!
