If you’re someone who loves the great outdoors but your hectic work schedule and daily demands prevent you from enjoying getting out as much as you’d like, have you ever thought about taking an outdoor adventure vacation? Not only is it good for you to enjoy the sun and fresh air, but there are certain activities that you can do that will also prove to be extremely great for your health.

Go hiking or biking in the spring. Something you can do that will let you to enjoy the scenery while getting some serious cardio exercising is either hiking or biking in the springtime. Go sailing in the summer. The summer season is a great time of year to do all kinds of water sports from water skiing and scuba diving to snorkeling and just plain old-fashioned swimming. But if you’d like to do something a bit more laid back, why not go sailing? Go bird watching and wild caving in the fall. As a family vacation, something that your children may like to do is go bird watching or perhaps something adventurous like wild caving. As far as bird watching goes, the Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge in Texas, the Sky Islands in Arizona and the Sunrise Coast in Maine are all worth putting on your travel list. Some of the best caves in the country are Moaning Cavern (California); Carlsbad Cavern (New Mexico) and the Ozarks (Missouri).
Go snow skiing in the winter. Hands down, one of the best things to do in the winter season is to go snow skiing.
